Jenna Arnaiz D.V.M
Jenna Arnaiz D.V.M

Veterinarian

Dr. Jenna Arnaiz graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She completed a small animal rotating internship at WSU CVM in 2004. After her internship, she settled in the greater Puget Sound area practicing small animal general and emergency medicine. In 2007, Dr. Arnaiz transitioned exclusively to emergency veterinary medicine and became a practicing partner at Seattle Veterinary Specialists Kirkland and Downtown, both specialty referral and emergency hospitals. Jenna now specializes in same-day illness and injury problems and is also available for general wellness, chronic pain management, and hospice patients. Jenna and Art (our practice manager) have been married since 1995 and have two teenage children keeping them busy with sports, choir, NJrROTC, family game nights, hiking, and outings. Her favorite place to travel is the big island of Hawai’i to enjoy the culture and all things found in and around the ocean. The family has two rescued dogs you may meet around the hospital – Lola, a 15-year-old Basset mix, and Willie, a 4-year-old Maltese mix.

Erin Bennett D.V.M
Erin Bennett D.V.M

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin Bennett grew up on a horse farm in Port Angeles, Washington. She knew from a very early age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She was a member of several 4-H groups participating in horse and dog programs. As soon as she was able, she started volunteering at a local veterinary hospital to gain experience.

Dr. Bennett graduated from Washington State University (WSU) with a degree in zoology. While at WSU, she gained additional veterinary experience working at the veterinary teaching hospital. Prior to being accepted to Oregon State veterinary school, she worked in an emergency veterinary hospital in Seattle.

During her time in veterinary school, Dr. Bennett participated in several veterinary service trips to a rural island in Nicaragua, gaining valuable skills while helping local animals. After graduating from veterinary school in 2015, she volunteered at a feral cat clinic and began practicing at an animal hospital in Bellevue. In early 2018, she accepted a position at Salish Veterinary Hospital, where she met Dr. Twyla Brown.

Dr. Bennett’s special interests include soft tissue surgery, exotic medicine, shelter medicine, and senior animal care. As a Washington native, her hobbies include most outdoor activities including snowboarding, hiking, and camping. Erin and her husband live in Kirkland on a small urban farm, where she loves gardening and taking care of her chickens, rabbits, two cats, and three dogs (Gunner the lab mix, Bella, and Brynn the corgis). They are also attempting to learn how to keep up with their young daughter and twin boys welcomed to their clan in 2023.

Veterinarian

Dr. Twyla Brown graduated with honors from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1996 with a degree in marine biology and ecology. She discovered her passion for veterinary medicine during her time as a sea otter research biologist at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In 2003, she obtained her veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University, where she focused on surgical techniques during her first year.

With a rich background, Dr. Brown spent 12 successful years at the Animal Hospital of Newport Hills before venturing into a new chapter. In 2016, she played an instrumental role in the establishment of Salish Veterinary Hospital, where she provided her expertise, specializing in dental procedures, ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric and preventative medicine.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Brown cherishes her family life with her husband, Jeremy, and their teenage twin daughters, Madison and McKenzie. Their household is further enriched by their two beloved yellow labs, “Mo” the career-changed Guide Dog and “Izzy” the dog with boundless energy. Dr. Brown embraces her adventurous spirit through various hobbies, including traveling, snorkeling, gardening, camping, hiking, and above all, creating treasured memories with her family.
